One Year Old

So September 12th was my baby boys 1st Birthday!!!
Being the crazy dog lady I am we had to celebrate properly;)

As you probably already guessed this was quite the adventure.
Thankfully I found out I can make cupcakes for dogs better than for people.

So after the half hour struggle cupcakes came to life.
The icing smelled horrible and for pictures sake I added a candle (don't worry I didn't leave it on)

But even thought the stench wasn't pleasant Napoleon really enjoyed it.
And honestly it was his birthday, that's all that matters right?

Of course he had to have some presents :)

Then we snuggled up and ended his birthday peacefully.
I hope he had as much fun as I did.
Well hoped you enjoyed reading and thanks for stopping by!
                                                                        xoxo, Grace

Nose Teeth and Windows

Hey! Hey! In honor of over 200 page views (That's kind of crazy to me!) it's time for an adorable dog post.

So Poly has recently discovered that he can watch the neighborhood happens out my window. So he has taken it upon himself to climb over my furniture to get to said window.

This picture is a little scary I shall admit. But hey we all have our off days. And you can really see his little cleft lip and his nose teeth in this one hehe.

Sometimes these days he has been such a cuddle bug. For some reason his fur has remained so light and soft like a little puppy (he's 11 months old). Oh and his 1st birthday is in like two weeks. My tiny baby boy has grown up so fast!

Anyways hope y'all and your pets are doing well. Prayers and Love :)

Fruit Salad..Yummy! Yummy!

Today for lunch I enjoyed this delish fruit salad. If you want to know how I made it then here ya go:

(Unlike me you might not need cutting fruit explained but I did it anyway....I'm such a rebel)

1. Cut medium orange into fourths. Cut the fourths in half and cut the skin off. Chop to desired size.
2. Cut medium apple in fourths. Cut out seeds. cut fourths in half and chop up into smaller pieces.
3. Medium banana. Cut in half. Cut halves in half and then chop into small chunks.
4. Halve as many grapes as you'd like.
5. mix together in a bowl!

Hopefully this wasn't like super easy to figure out and that was completely not needed to explain but whatever. I would need it explained to me lol.

I just really enjoyed this and felt full but still light and energized after eating it. Its about 250 calories.

Fruit salad....yummy..yummy.. *dances away*

Poly's Cone of Shame/Summer Cut

Yep guys its that time once again...........An adorable dog updateeee!!!!

So Napoleon has grown so much!

He is ten months today! Wow has time has flown. But he recently saw a family member of mine whom is a animal groomer for his summer cut. And thanks to his mommy (oops) he had so many mattes of hair on his ears that he had to be shaved really short so she just shaved his whole body.

But I do have reason for the knots on his ears. He got fixed about a month and half ago so the cone he had to wear rubbed knots. That's my story guys so yeah ;) But he sure did dislike that cone of shame lol.

I can't believe in only two short months my little munchkin will be a year old! I love him to pieces (in a creepy dog lovers way)! Hope you liked this little puppy update and I plan to do more of these more often cause its about time I started training this little turd.
XOXO,

Book Nerd #1

Hey Hey y'all :)

I'm going to be doing my first ever mini book review!! Yay! *start clapping* *now!!*

The book is 'Being Friends With Boys' by Terra Elan McVoy:

So starting off Terra sure can write a captivatingly (probably not a word) relatable lead. The girl in this story is so real, funny, and honest in her thoughts. The book wasn't super predictable for me at least. It was a semi surprise and had me laughing and guessing quite a bit. I really enjoyed joining Charlotte (lead in story hehe) in her finding of feelings and herself.

I'd give this book a three out of five. It just one of those easy read, geared towards teen girls books that I seem to find myself enjoying lately.

Hope you liked this mini review. Tell me in you want more. And check our 'Being Friends With Boys'

Happy Fourth 'Merica

Oh my goodness it been awhile. I seriously need to get it together haha. But we'll just pretend I was on a little vacation hehe.

So I hope everyone had an amazingly magical 4th of July. And if you don't live in the USA then this is kind of awkward....

But anyways :) I spent some wonderful 'early 4th' time with my lovely extended family. We lit sparklers, swam in the dark and dove in the pool for glow sticks. It was awesome.

Then I spent my actually 4th watching fireworks from a beautiful spot in my downtown.

This holiday just makes me feel so festive and free. It makes me really stop and be thankful for all our troops do for us just so we can celebrate our freedom. And it makes me proud to me born and raised, southern, coastal, American gal.

I think Independence Day might be one of my favorite holidays. Anyways I would love to know what ways you (if you are in fact American or fellow US citizen) celebrate.

Have a beautiful day and Live a beautiful life.

Love, Thoughts, and A Weird Quote.

                                                              (by Chuck Palahniuk)

This quote hit me hard yesterday. I never thought that maybe the person I'm falling for isn't the person falling for me but someone entirely different. And I mean it is harsh and a little haunting to read this quote but its oddly eye opening. Do I really love the people I say I love? Would I really do anything for them? Would I step back?
I hope this doesnt bother or offend anyone but I just needed to lay this out and think. I hope it gives you something to think about as well. I hope we can take a few moments to reflect on our actions and feelings. And tomorrow I promise I will have some more pleasent thoughts coming your way haha.

The Mini Sheepdog Crisis

If you can't tell napoleon has gotten much bigger. And as for his fur; much...much...much longer. To the point where people would ask if he could herd their goats for them (slightly dramatic).Needless to say he was well do for his first haircut. So we booked him an appointment at pet'smart and there was no turning back.
Don't get me wrong petsmart is great. But I was a little worried he was going to come out looking like someone attacked him with a razor. Yet he didn't really seem to share my worry as he went right back without a issue when the lady took him away. We had some arrends to run so we left. It took about three hours for him to be bathed, cut, and dried. Why does it take so long? No pooping idea. But it kind of seems ridculous.
So later we arrived there once and again and she went to get him from the back. My heart was racing would he look distorted and hideous. Would I have to put up with terror until it grew out?!?!

Thankfully; no. He looked great. They did an amazing job for his first time and he could see again. But let me not get to excited. He was cut on a Saturday afternoon and the following Sunday night he started throwing up everything. He couldn't hardly keep down water for the next twenty four hours. We were very concerned but he ended up feeling better that monday afternoon and on tuesday was back to normal. I am not blaming petsmart for this but I was wondering if it had anything to do with him getting into something there. But he could have gotten anything at home in that time as well.

In the end all was well. And for your amusement a before and after of my little turd. I will talk to you all soon. And are you getting excited for Easter this Sunday? I know I am!

Meet Napoleon

I would like you to meet said 'adorable puppy'.

This is Napoleon. He is a three month old, Shih Tzu puppy. He has been apart of the family for about a month and a half and is already used to our mad house. He is more than I could have ever asked for and I am already in love.

So Here's A Little Story:

I was supposed to be recieving him as a Christmas present and I was over the moon. We had bought a crate, leash, and harness already. My family was coming into town a few days after and showed up at our house. As I am hugging around I turn to hug my uncle and a little fluffy head pops out of his jacket, and the rest is history.

Since his arrival he has already had some interesting walks on the beach. He can hardly walk on the sand. And when he gets an inch from the ocean he almost has a heart attack. But now he has been a few more times and can walk safely on the sand. But the waters remain his enemy.

I hope you are having a great day and tell me about your pets in the comments! See you all very soon!

Hugs and Puppy Kisses
